The Greater Los Angeles JACL Scholarship and Chapter Fundraiser Luncheon will be held on Sunday, June 7, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Zamperini Field, Torrance Municipal Airport, 3301 Airport Dr., Torrance.
The event will include presentation of 2026 scholarship awardees and a silent auction.
Guest speaker is Seia Watanabe, vice president of public affairs on the JACL National Board, where she is currently serving out her second term, and vice governor of JACL’s Pacific Southwest District. She was previously the PSW District youth representative on the National Youth/Student Council and board fellow at the Little Tokyo Service Center.
Watanabe is active in the Los Angeles Japanese American community, recently serving as First Princess on the 2024 Nisei Week Court representing the Japanese Restaurant Association of America, and is known for her work as the Go Little Tokyo social media coordinator for the Little Tokyo Community Council and organizer with the Manzanar Committee.
Adult: $45 with RSVP by June 1, $50 after June 1. Student or 25 years old and younger: $30 with RSVP by June 1, $35 after June 1.
