Club Also Expands Partnership With LTSC
Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy will host a special Japanese culture-themed event on Saturday, May 23, in conjunction with its match against Houston Dynamo FC at Dignity Health Sports Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

On May 23, in collaboration with Valuence Japan Co., Ltd. and Captain Tsubasa, the LA Galaxy is hosting an incredible evening blending culture and galactic adventure while spotlighting the strong support for the club’s Japanese players, Maya Yoshida and Miki Yamane. According to the club, the Japanese Heritage Ticket Pack — which featured a limited-edition LA Galaxy Japanese Heritage scarf — all of which sold out before the scarf design was even revealed. Only 150 scarves were produced. A Galaxy spokesperson said the sellout “reflects the strength and support of our Japanese community.”
The match will also serve as our Star Wars Theme Night, with an additional ticket pack available that includes a Grogu (Baby Yoda) bobblehead..
In recent years, the Galaxy has also strengthened ties with Japanese American community organizations throughout the region. During the club’s most recent home match on May 2, the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) was recognized as the “Community Partner of the Match,” and the Galaxy donated $2,500 to the organization as part of its ongoing partnership efforts. LTSC representative Noel Ito participated in the ceremonial game ball delivery.

In celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month in May, the club will also welcome 30 students from LTSC and Terasaki Budokan on May 21 for a behind-the-scenes stadium tour and soccer clinic at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The Galaxy is also preparing for a large-scale “LA Galaxy Soccer Celebration” tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026. The multi-week fan experience will feature more than 50 public match watch parties, youth clinics, and community events.
Events are scheduled for June 11–27 along Pine Avenue in Long Beach, July 4–7 at Galaxy Park in Carson, and July 14–19 in Hermosa Beach.
The Long Beach programming is expected to include screenings of Japan national team matches, including Netherlands vs. Japan on June 14 and Japan vs. Sweden on June 25.
