One of the proposed designs for Toriumi Plaza.

A Toriumi Plaza community forum will be held on Thursday, May 14, at 6 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum’s Democracy Center, 100 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo.

The purpose of the meeting, organized by Sustainable Little Tokyo (Little Tokyo Community Council, Little Tokyo Service Center, Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, JANM) and Great Leap, is to discuss the future use of Toriumi Plaza, building off feedback shared in previous sessions to look at new conceptual designs.

Located on the corner of First Street and Judge John Aiso Street above a parking garage, the plaza is currently closed to the public.
