A private funeral service for Takashi Ben Takeuchi, 100-year-old, Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei who passed away on March 24, 2026 in Culver City, Calif., was held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Kubota Mortuary followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Dave Watanabe from Grace Bridge Chapel officiating.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Joyce Hirota; and is survived by his wife, Emi Takeuchi; daughter, Joan (Jon) Ito; grandchildren, Jolyene (Kevin) Carl and Robert Hirota; son-in-Law, Dave Hirota; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Toni Tomita, Itsu Raymond, and Kenji (Setsuko) Takeuchi; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
