“It is with a heavy heart that Boyle Heights Community Partners must announce the cancellation of our Tasteful Fundraising Benefit at El Tepeyac Cafe on Saturday, June 27, 2026 …
“The massive industrial fire at the Lineage facility has been burning for a week, forcing families to endure hazardous, toxic air that officials say will persist until further notice. Our absolute priority right now is the health and safety of the people of Boyle Heights.
“If you didn’t purchase a ticket but want to help us recover from this unexpected setback, you can still donate online to keep our community programs running.”
The fundraiser, sponsored by El Tepeyac and Brewyard Brewers, was intended to bring the Mexican and Japanese cultures together.
