On Aug. 22, 94-year-old Army veteran Clifford Nakatani was honored on the Dodger Stadium field as the Military Hero of the Game, during the matchup against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates. Born in Hawaii, Nakatani served during the Korean War period. In 1958, he and wife Sayo settled in Altadena, where he remained until losing his home to the Eaton Fire last year.
