The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 7 initiated a recall of more than 10,000 cases of Chili Crisp Lightly Fried Tofu in 29 states, including California, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.
The reason is potential chemical contamination from ink.
Manufactured by Oakland-based Hodo Inc., the refrigerated 8-ounce packages have use-by dates ranging from May to December 2026. The announcement did not specify which retailers sell the product.
Product quantity: 10,084 cases (six units per case); 486 cases (30 units per case); 166 units.
