On Sunday, Oct. 11, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., CicLAvia will celebrate its 16th year and 68th car-free open streets event catalyzing vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health through car-free streets.

CicLAvia—Heart of L.A. connects several historic Los Angeles neighborhoods, welcoming everyone of all ages and abilities to enjoy this day of 6.5-mile of open streets. Enjoy the day by walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, chilling, or simply spectating. Participants can show up anywhere along the route to enjoy the open streets, take the time to explore, and see where the day takes you.

CicLAvia — Heart of L.A. includes four hubs filled with plenty of activities and programs along the route. Hubs are walking zones (mandatory dismounts) and meeting points along the route:

The Echo Park Hub, brought to you by Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez, located on Bellevue Avenue off of Glendale Boulevard by the south side of Echo Park Lake;

Chinatown Hub, located on North Broadway north of College Street;

Little Tokyo Hub, located on South Central Avenue south of First Street;

Mariachi Plaza Hub, located on First Street east of South Boyle Avenue.

Hubs offer free family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, places to sit and meet up with friends and family, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are available at each hub’s information booth.
