Emiko Fujino (née Fujii), 102, passed away on September 29, 2026. Born in Los Angeles on May 9, 1924, to Akira and Tamayo Fujii, she was the eldest of three children. Her family moved to Japan during her teenage years, and she later returned to Los Angeles as an adult, living most of her life in Gardena, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mikio Fujino; and her brothers, Teruyuki (Ted) and Hideo. She is survived by her children, Brian and Kathleen; and grandchildren, Dylan, Casey, Thomas, and Meagan. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.
