Japanese classical dance performance at last year’s Japan Culture Fair.

The Huntington Beach Japan Culture Fair will be held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Huntington Beach Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach.

The family-friendly event will feature artisan craft vendors, workshops, martial arts, cultural performances, kids’ crafts and games, and Japanese food.

Saturday, Oct. 10

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Tuna cutting and sales (Nigiriba)

1-1:50 p.m.: Taiko (Matoi no Kai)

1:50-2:40 p.m.: Japanese dance (Seiha Wakayanagi Ryu)

3:40-4:30 p.m.: Taiko (Hikari Taiko)

4:30-5:10 p.m.: Japanese dance (Bando Ryu)

Sunday, Oct. 11

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Kimono Fashion Show (Kimono SK)

12:30-1:20 p.m.: Taiko (Matoi no Kai)

1:20-2:20 p.m.: Karate/kobudo/batto (Shito Ryu Karate/Genbu Kai)

2:20-3:20 p.m.: Koto (Saeko Kujiraoka)

3:20-4:10 p.m.: Taiko (Hikari Taiko)

4:10-5:10 p.m.: Music ensemble and workshop (L.A.’s 33 Strings)

A performance by teenage drummer Yoyoka was one of last year’s highlights.
