Michael Akio Tanaka (59) of Torrance, went home to the Lord on September 13, 2026. Rooted in faith and love for his family, Mike embraced life with joy — whether golfing, watching sports and movies, sharing food, or spending time with family and friends.
Reunited in heavenly paradise with his father, Gary Tanaka. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristi; sons, Kaison (26), Jonas (23), and Trey (19); mother, Kazuko (Ted) Ludford; brother, Phil Tanaka and family; parents-in-law, Stan and Bea Kamiya; sister-in-law, Kim (Brett) Howard and family; and brother-in-law, Kyle (Sheri) Kamiya and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Evergreen SGV. Business casual attire requested.
