Keith, 79, born in Torrance and raised in Harbor City, was a longtime West Covina resident. He passed away peacefully at Queen of the Valley Hospital on November 1.
Keith worked as an aerospace engineer for over 30 years. In retirement, he enjoyed slot car racing, cheering for the Dodgers, trips to Mammoth, and time with family.
He shared 51 years of marriage with his wife, Louise “Reiko,” and was a devoted father and proud Grampy to his grandson, Reed. His family will remember his kindness, dry humor, and devotion.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Reiko Tanaka; daughter, Lauren Tanaka, and son-in-law, Rory Fortune; daughter, Erin Tanaka; grandson, Reed Fortune; and many loving relatives.
A “celebration of life” gathering will be held Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary Chapel. Guests may come and go freely. 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012
