Marian Sachiko Naito

November 30, 1927 – August 30, 2026

Marian Sachiko Naito (November 30, 1927 -– August 30, 2026) was the daughter of Francis Miyosaku (“Camellia King”) and Kuni Uyematsu. She was born and raised in Montebello. She was in the Class of 1945 at Manzanar High School and she was a member of the Chi Alpha Delta Sorority at UCLA.

She married George Naito from Kauai, and they lived in Claremont for over 50 years.  

Mare is predeceased by her husband, George; and her siblings, Starr, Alice, Francis, Sonoko, and Sam (in order of their passing). She is survived by niece, Mary Uyematsu Kao (John, Malcolm and Valerie); grand-nephew, Chris Tachiki and family; and extended families of the Sonoko and Shigezo Iwata family of Seabrook, New Jersey. Sonoko was her half-sister from her father’s first marriage.
