Yoshihiro “Robert” Morinishi

Memorial services for Yoshihiro “Robert” Morinishi, 91-year-old El Centro-born Nisei resident of Fountain Valley, who passed away at Sunflower Gardens Memory Care in Santa Ana on Nov. 30, 2019, will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Wintersburg Presbyterian Church, 2000 N. Fairview St., Santa Ana, Calif. Aloha or golf attire requested. Family requests that flowers be omitted.

Bob and his family were interned in Poston during WWII. Bob was also an Army veteran, a staff sergeant in the Korean War, serving with the 25th Signal Co. in radio/transmitter repair. He also worked as an electrical engineer with Rockwell Autonetics/Boeing for over 30 years. After retirement, he taught electronics classes at local community colleges.

He is survived by his wife Grace; children, Ron (Carolyn) of Kapa’a, Hawaii, Paul, Gale Zimmerman of Beaverton, Ore., Kent (Becky) of Beaverton Ore.; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
