A funeral service for Edward Shoichi Tamae, 94-year-old, Puunene, Hawaii-born Nisei, Recipient of the Order of the Sacred Treasure Gold & Silver Rays, who passed away on Aug. 13 in Gardena will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. at Koyasan Buddhist Temple, 342 E. First St., Los Angeles, Calif. Family requests that followers be omitted.

He is survived by his wife, Masako Tamae; children, Mitzi (George) Akamine, Hiroko (Yoji) Niho, Richard (Momoko) and Paul (Hide) Tamae; siblings, Jean Kawakone from Hawaii, Clara Matsue (Theodore) Uyema, Seiki (Yoko) Tamae, Betty Fumiko Ganiku from Hawaii, and Robert Shigeko Tamae; sisters-in-law, Grace Takeko Tamae and Sueko (Ichiro) Moroga, the latter from Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
