Ruth Carroll Kadowaki, 85, was born in Santa Ana, Calif. on Jan. 4, 1924 and passed away on Oct. 10 in Orange County after fighting a 3-year battle to Dementia and other health issues. Ruth was the youngest of nine children born to Katsu and Tsune Kadowaki. Survived by daughters, Janice Kuramoto, Marilyn Akahoshi; grandsons, Brian Kuramoto, Brandon Kuramoto, David Akahoshi and Michael Akahoshi. She spent a lot of time entertaining the elderly at senior living facilities and retirement centers. She left an impression on the world around her. Funeral services will be held at Wintersburg Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
