Musashi, Sam I., 90, passed away on Oct. 4 in Palm Desert, Calif. of natural causes. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye last year. He is survisved by his three daughters, Marci Smith (Jerry) of Pomona, Ca¬lif., Vicki Musashi of Palm Springs and Carol Hoover (Kent) of Riverside, Calif.; and sibling, Sus Musashi (Grace) of Milwaukee, Wis. Sam was self-employed (gardening business) and retired in 1985. He was a mem¬ber of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team in WWII and remained life¬long friends with members of his Fox Company. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to Hawaii, Las Vegas and Laughlin, usually with groups from the 442nd. A private graveside service and interment will be held at the Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside on Oct. 12. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held in his memory at the Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m.
