A private memorial service for the late Ray R. Yakura, 94-year-old Nisei who passed away peacefully on Nov. 5 at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, was held on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Green Hills Memorial Park chapel with The Rev. Marilyn Omernick of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church officiating under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tomiko A. Yakura; daughter, Gail (Hachiro) Kondo; sisters-in-law, Mary Yakura and Yoshiko Tsutsumi; also by other relatives.
