Memorial service for the late Fred Tomio Ota, 91-year-old resident of Los Angeles who passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, 11 a.m. at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Ave., West Los Angeles. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sachiko Ota; son, Bryan Akio (Amy Shizue) Ota; daughters, Coleen Matsuyo and Candice Tokiyo Ota; granddaughters, Christine Akimi (Chad) Yamasaki of Hawaii and Jaclyn Chiyomi (Steve) Lee; great-granddaughter, Rylee Akie Yamasaki of Hawaii; sister, Kaoru Nakamura; step-brother, Shoichi Ota of Japan; also by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
