Mr. Seichiro “Sam” Sugiura, Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei, Veteran of WWII, passed away on Jan. 4.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, with Rev. William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple of-ficiating.
He is survived by his sister, Su¬miko (Shoji) Tanaka; brother, Shoji Sugiura; step-children, Reiko (Lan¬ny) Mayberry, David (Jodie), Michael (Donna) and Sam (Joyce) Toya; brother-in-law, Takaji Ikeda; niece, Naomi (Ted) Hackett; also survived by many other relatives.
