Funeral service for the late Leiko Yamashita, 83-year-old Nisei resident of Glendora, who passed away on Dec. 29, 2010, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. Third St., Los Angeles.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Tommy Yamashita; daughter, Susan (John) Harada; sons, Thomas (Jadine) Yamashita, Ronald (Gayle) Yamashita, and David (Melinda) Yamashita; brothers, Satoshi (Kazi) Doi and Toshio (Lidia) Doi; sisters, Masako Hirota, Seiko (Lloyd) Suehiro and Mari (Gilbert) Gonzales; loving grandmother to Bryan, Corey, and Jaye Harada; Alex, Wendi, Keith, Garon (Diana), Kara and Bradley Yamashita; loving step grandmother to Cidney and Geoffrey Ramirez; great grandmother to Ethan Yamashita; also by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
