A public viewing for the late Mrs. Frances Yasuko Yamamoto, a 72 year-old, California-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles and former Poston Relocation Camp internee who passed away on March 17 will be held on Thursday, March 24, 5 to 9 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. A “Celebration of Life” Luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NBC Seafood, 404 S. Atlantic Blvd., Monterey Park, CA 91754. In lieu of koden or flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made instead to the UMCOR Japan Earthquake Relief Fund 212-870-3909, or to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Fund 1-800-227-2345.
Mrs. Yamamoto was predeceased by her beloved husband Fumio Yamamoto. She is survived by her son, Douglas Yoshifumi (Diane); daughters, Tracy Chieko (Andrew) Radle and Denise Miyeko (Gary) Lai; grandsons, Ryan and Kyle; granddaughters, Rebecca and Sarah Radle; brother, Stephen Hara; sister, Elinor (Paul) Hiro. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
