Funeral service for the late Mrs. Junko Yamashita, 87-year-old, San Diego-born Nisei resident of Long Beach who passed away on Dec. 25, will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m. at Long Beach Buddhist Church, 2360 Santa Fe Ave., Long Beach, CA 90810 with Rev. Shumyo Kojima of Zenshuji Soto Mission officiating.
Junko is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Curt) Fleming; grandchildren, Akemi and Mika Fleming; sister, Mary Nomura; brother, Masaji (Grace) Hatae; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
