SAN FRANCISCO — The critically acclaimed one-man show “Alec Mapa: Baby Daddy” will be performed Thursday, Sept. 27, at Cole Hall on the UC San Francisco Campus, 513 Parnassus Ave., as a fundraiser for the Nihonmachi Street Fair. Reception from 6 to 6:45 p.m.; show starts at 7 p.m.

Alec Mapa

Join “America’s Gaysian Sweetheart” Alec Mapa as he hilariously recounts his adventures on the road to fatherhood. Recently, his life was turned upside down when he and his husband, producer Jamison Hebert (“Bullied”), adopted a five-year old boy. How do you go from stand-up gigs, red carpets, gay cruises, and circuit parties to being a responsible, carpool-driving PTA member?

Mapa’s credits include “Desperate Housewives,” “Ugly Betty,” “The View,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “The Gossip Queens,” “Half and Half,” and “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.” On stage, he starred in David Henry Hwang’s “M. Butterfly” and the one-man show “I Remember Mapa,” in which he recounts his experiences growing up gay in San Francisco.

Co‐sponsored with the Office of Student Life, Multicultural Resource Center, and Nihonmachi Street Fair. Tickets are $25. For more information, call (415) 771-9861 or visit www.nihonmachistreetfair.org.
