Born on the Hawaiian island of Lanai in 1934, Edith Etsuko Gikiu passed away at home on Dec. 19, 2012. Edith was a long-time resident in Gardena, in which she shared a home with her husband and raised her two children.
Edith is survived by her husband, professional artist Frank Gikiu; her son, Shawn; daughter, Debi (Carlos); her grandsons, Joshua (Alexis) and Raymond; along with a multitude of other family members.
