A memorial service for Haruo “Foozie” Fujisawa, 90-year-old, Calexico, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on Dec. 7, 2012 in Los Angeles, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., L.A., with Rev. Nancy Terada Wong from Anaheim Free Methodist Church officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Misa Fujisawa; children, Laura (Gerry Hamashita) Fujisawa and Nancy (Don) Kadowaki; grandsons, Bryce and Evan Hamashita; siblings, Meiji (Toshiko) Fujizawa, Teruo (Ruby) Fujizawa, and Susan Mita; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
