Funeral service for the late Tomochika Tom Sakamoto, born March 2, 1923 in San Pedro and resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on Dec. 5, 2012, was held privately at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles.
Tom served in the Army Military Intelligence Service, received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, and graduated from USC School of Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist for Thrifty Drug for 37 years.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Sumiko Sakamoto; son, Stephen (Lori) Sakamoto; grandchildren, Avery, Evan and Wistan. Tom is also survived by many other loving family members.
