Funeral service for the late Mrs. Sakiyo Kawashima, 93-year-old, Vacaville, Calif.- born, resident of Los Angeles, who passed away at Keiro Nursing Home on Feb. 15, 2013, was held on March 1 at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” officiated by Rinban Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.
She is survived by her husband, Jiro Kawashima; children, Frank Takeshi (Betty), Steve Susumu and Gary Minoru (Sandra) Kawashima; grandchildren, Kimi, Stacy, Michael, James, Brian and Keith Kawashima; brother, Jack (Kate) Muro; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
