Buddhist Temple of Marin, located in Mill Valley, held its annual Obon observance on July 14 with a special service conducted by Rev. Ronald Kobata, supervising minister, traditional Japanese dancing led by instructor Chiz Shiro, and a potluck lunch. In past years, the celebration included a festival with food booths, games for kids, and cultural demonstrations and performances, but it has been scaled down.
