OAKLAND — The Oakland Asian Cultural Center will hold its first-ever Anime Night on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m.

There will be a cosplay contest with prizes, J-pop songs, karaoke and snacks. This will be an opportunity to mingle with fellow anime fans and embrace your inner otaku.

Suggested donation is $5. OACC is located at 388 Ninth St., Suite 290, at Pacific Renaissance Plaza in Oakland Chinatown.

OACC builds vibrant communities through Asian and Pacific Islander American arts and culture programs that foster intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue, cultural identity, collaborations, and social justice.
