Kiyoshi “Bones” Fujimoto, age 88, resident of Costa Mesa, passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2013, at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach.
He was interned at Santa Anita & Rohwer camps and was a veteran of the 442nd RCT, “G” Co.
He is survived by his wife, Shiz; daughters, Janice (Milton) Kawabe and Sandy (Jerry) Koyama; granddaughters, Kelli, Casey & Kristi Kawabe; sister, Dorothy Takahashi; and many nieces, nephews and close relatives.
A “Celebration of Life for Bones” was held on Nov. 17, 2013 at the Costa Mesa C.C. A private burial service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii.
