A memorial service for Miriam Hanayo Nishida, 86-year-old, Honolulu, Hawaii-born Nisei, who passed away on Nov. 25, 2013 in Torrance, will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail Nishida-Coppock, Kathleen Nishida, and Sandra (Ron) Bates, the last of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Christopher and Mackenzie Bates, both of Portland, Ore.; brother, Paul (Bobi) Matsumoto; sister-in-law, Shizue Okada of Alameda, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Shigeru (Rae) Nishida of Seattle, Wash., and Kenji (Martha) Nishida; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
