Funeral service for the late Masao “Mas” Shono, 84-year-old, Terminal Island-born, Nisei veteran, resident of Long Beach who passed away on Dec. 15, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1340 11th Street, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
He is survived by his loving family: son, Eric (Dona) Shono; daughters, Cozette (Eugene Bilderback) Hashimoto, Lynette (Michael) Chiles and Nadine (John) Doran; grandchildren, Corey and Kelly Shono, Tamara Hashimoto, Brittany and Jason Chiles, Wesley and Wendy Doran; brothers, Hiroo (Kozue), Tetsuo (Rosie), Tadaaki (Michi), Yoneo (Setsuko) and Junji Shono; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
