SAN JOSE — Asian Law Alliance has moved to a new office, located at 991 W. Hedding St., Suite 202, San Jose, CA 95126-1248.

The building is on the corner of West Hedding and Myrtle streets, one block from The Alameda and only two miles from the old office on Jackson Street in Japantown.

An open house will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 5:30 p.m. Join the staff and board for food, fun and conversation.

Over the past 36 years as a nonprofit corporation, ALA has helped tens of thousands of people in obtaining decent housing, justice in the immigration process, and access to basic human and legal rights.

Today, Asian/Pacific Islanders continue to be denied fundamental rights. ALA continues to keep its doors open for those individuals who are limited in English, who do not understand the legal system, who cannot afford legal fees, and who face the reality of discrimination.

The staff includes Executive Director Richard Konda and Managing Attorney Jacquelyn Maruhashi.
