Mrs. Mitose Catherine Yonai, 85, San Pedro-born Nisei, resident of Monterey Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 3, at Keiro Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sons, Randy, Greg and David (Susan) Yonai; grandchildren, Derek (Amy), Ryan (Maria), Alan, Stephanie, Staci, Jason, Shannon, Brandon and Aaron Yonai; great-grandchild, Kaori Yonai.
Predeceased by son, Paul Yonai.
Private family funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 20, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Fr. Richard Hoynes of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church officiating.
