Funeral services for the late Mitsuko “Mitzi” Murakami, 97-year-old Guadalupe, Calif.-born Nisei, resident of San Gabriel who passed away on January 5, 2014 will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, with Rev. KarenFay Ramos Young of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Kathleen Silva; grandchildren, Andrew, Kim (Mark) Smith, June (Matthew) Schmid; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Suyeichi Nakamura; sister, Teri (George) Border; and also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
