A funeral service for Sakaye “Suzie” Kato, 98-year-old, Piedmont, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on Feb. 20, 2014 in Fountain Valley, Calif., will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave. Anaheim. Family requests that flowers be omitted.

She is survived by her children, Lillian (Roy) Sasaki, Douglas (June), Arlene (Michael Kurihara) and Bert (Shuining) Kato; grandchildren, Lianne Sasaki, Kristen (Scott) French, Darren (Lisa), Christopher (Roberta), Michael Kato, and Siyao Zheng; three great-grandchildren; one sister and five sisters-in-law; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives
