Funeral services for the late Mrs. Alice Chiyoko “Chickie” Sakauye, a 91-year-old Gardena-born Nisei resident of Encinitas, Calif., and former internee of Heart Mountain Relocation Camp during WWII, who passed away on Feb. 23, 2014 will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Anaheim Free Methodist Church, 1001 N. Mayflower St., Anaheim, CA.
Chickie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy Sakauye, and her siblings, Jack, Mits and Ham Murakami, Dorothy Nakamura, Rev. Harry Murakami and Nancy Shibuya. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved her very much.
