Meriko Fujita, 95 year-old Stockton-born Kibei Nisei, raised in Wakayama and residing in Highland (San Bernardino County), passed away peacefully on March 1st. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 16, 11:00 am, at Konko Church of Gardena, 15722 S. Normandie Ave., Gardena, with Rev. Nobuharu Uzunoe officiating.
She is predeceased by her husband, Minoru Fujita.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Eri (Takehiko Phil) Yasuhara and Miki (Ron) Swick and granddaughter, Sachi Swick.
