A funeral service for Shuichi Obata, 91-year-old, El Centro, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on March 17, 2014 in Carson, will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., L.A. Family requests casual attire, and that flowers be omitted.
