To thank community friends for their continued support, Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave. (at Third Street) in Little Tokyo, will hold its second annual Summer Open House on Sunday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The free event is hosted by the church, Matsubayashi Shorin-ryu Dojo of Little Tokyo (led by Sensei Art Ishii), and Kotobuki no Kai Minyo Dance Group (led by Sensei Imoto Hoshunjyu). Both groups hold practices at Centenary.

In addition to food, entertainment, games and contests for all ages, there will be public odori/ondo dance sessions at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear yukata or happi coats, but everyone is welcome to join in the dancing.

The public is invited to this night of culture, community, fellowship and fun. For more information, call (213) 617-9097 or visit the church’s Facebook page.
