SAN FRANCISCO — Genryu Arts presents “Shadow to Shadow” on Saturday, July 12, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at Nihonmachi Little Friends’ Tateuchi Hall, 1844 Sutter St. (at Buchanan) in San Francisco Japantown.

Integrating movement, text, projection and music, this new interdisciplinary work by taiko artist and choreographer Melody Takata explores the nature of legacy in a rapidly changing culturel landscape.
Featured collaborators include nagauta shamisen grand master Chizuro Kineya (Tokyo), filmmaker, bassist and ozashiki shamisen practitioner Tatsu Aoki and taiko artist Kioto Aoki (Chicago), saxophonist Francis Wong, and theater artist Todd Nakagawa.
