IRVINE — Approximately 2,500 walkers enjoyed a day of exercise and farm-fresh food at the fourth annual Walk the Farm on June 14 at Tanaka Farms in Irvine.
The event is sponsored by Tanaka Farms and Orange Coast Optimist Club. Glenn Tanaka, owner of Tanaka Farms, said the event raised over $100,000 for farmers in northern Japan still recovering from the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, and farmers in Central California affected by this year’s drought.
