SACRAMENTO — Gov. Jerry Brown on Sept. 30 announced the appointment of Randy Kajioka, 55, of Sacramento to the California Alarm Company Operator Disciplinary Review Committee.

Kajioka has been statewide chief of pharmacy services at California Correctional Health Care Services since 2013. He held several positions at the Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center from 1984 to 2013, including pharmacy project manager, chief pharmacist, assistant chief pharmacist and outpatient pharmacy manager.

Kajioka was a pharmacist at Walgreens Pharmacy from 1996 to 2010, a nuclear pharmacist at Medi-Physics from 1992 to 1993 and a staff pharmacist at Gemco Pharmacy from 1984 to 1986. He has been a reserve deputy for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department since 1996 and was a reserve deputy for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office from 1983 to 1997.

He is president of the Sacramento Asian Peace Officers Association, a member of the Asian Pacific Community Counseling Transcultural Wellness Center, and past president of the Asian Pacific State Employees Association Foundation (2011). He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Kajioka is a Democrat.
