Private funeral services for the late Mr. Jiro Kawashima, 95-year-old, Stockton, Calif.-born, resident of Los Angeles, who passed away at St. Vincent Medical Center on Oct. 20, were held on Nov. 7 at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, officiated by Rinban Noriaki Ito.
He is survived by his children, Frank Takeshi (Betty), Steve Susumu and Gary Minoru (Sandra) Kawashima; grandchildren, Kimi, Stacy, Michael, James, Brian and Keith Kawashima; brother-in-law, Jack (Kate) Muro; also survived by other relatives.
