Memorial services for the late Mr. Daniel Shinsei Gima, a 95-year-old Okinawa, Japan-born Nisei resident of Little Tokyo who passed away on Jan. 26, 2015, were held privately.
Mr. Gima was predeceased by his daughter, Susan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Toshiko; children, Caroline Murashige-Gima and Alex (Shawn) Gima; grandchildren, Vance Murashige-Gima, Caleb and Emily Gima; siblings, Sakae Gima and Fumie Moromizato of Japan, and Ayako Nagahisa of Hawaii. Also survived by many other family members, both here and in Japan and in Hawaii.
