In conjunction with the exhibition “Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty,” curators Jamie Rivadeneira and Christine Yano will discuss Hello Kitty and her place in Japan’s kawaii (cute) culture on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum, 100 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo.

Yano is the author of “Pink Globalization: Hello Kitty’s Trek Across the Pacific.” Rivadeneira is the founder and owner of the Los Angeles pop culture boutique JapanLA.

Free for members, $5 general. Also free with “Hello!” admission.
