jama scholarshipNoah Karl Masahiko Kojima (third from right) received the 2015 Japanese American Medical Association scholarship on March 15 at the California Country Club in Whittier. He is joined by members of the scholarship committee. Kojima, the son of Hideki and Patricia Kojima, is a first-year medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Raised in Southern California, Kojima was a dual major in biochemistry and molecular biology at UC Davis and currently serves as the medical alumni representative to the UCLA Medical Student Council. JAMA also awarded a scholarship to Priscilla N. Sugianto, a third-year medical student at Stanford University. She is president of the Stanford Physicians and Social Responsibility Association.
