George Nakano (center), a former member of the State Assembly and the Torrance City Council, was one of the honorees at a summer gala held by HELP (Healthcare and Elder Law Programs) on June 25 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates. He received the Legacy Award for his long-term service on HELP’s Board of Directors and his many contributions to HELP and the South Bay community, plus a commendation from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
