Private family funeral service for Fumiko Nakano, 86-year-old, San Fernando-born, resident of Torrance who passed away on July 29, 2015 at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, was held on Friday, Aug. 7, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rev. John Iwohara from Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
Predeceased by her husband, Shunso Herbert Nakano.
She is survived by daughter, Jane (David) Nakamoto; son, Gary Nakano; granddaughter, Christine Nakamoto; sisters-in-law, Yukiko Takahashi of Washington and Takako Takahashi. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces and other relatives.
